Sustainability Initiatives

At Talia Collins, we recognise that the fashion industry inherently presents challenges to sustainability. However, we are committed to making responsible and ethical decisions to minimise our impact on the planet. By focusing on the quality and longevity of our pieces, we aim to create timeless items that can be cherished, standing as a testament to enduring, sustainable fashion.

Healthy Seas

Talia Collins donates 1% of each sale to The Healthy Seas Initiative, an international non-governmental organisation, to support their work in clearing the oceans of abandoned nets and other discarded plastics. These “ghost” fishing nets are incredibly harmful, polluting our oceans with plastic, as well as killing thousands of marine animals every year.

In 2019 alone, Healthy Seas divers and fishermen collected a total of 57,200 kg of abandoned fishing nets.

This discarded plastic waste, otherwise destined for landfill and harming our marine ecosystems, is collected and transformed into a new polymer and then into a brand new yarn used for the creation of the label’s luxurious swimwear collection.

GREENR

To help us achieve our sustainability goals, we are now also proud to partner with Greenr to help us reduce our carbon footprint as much as we can.

Greenr is a social enterprise that uses technology to connect you, the consumer, to carbon offsetting programs in a transparent way. Their carbon experts have sourced some of the leading carbon removal projects in the world, all of which are of the highest carbon standard with certifications under the Gold Standard, Verified Carbon Standard, the Woodland Carbon Code and CCB Standard.

Once you reach checkout, you will have the opportunity to offsett the emissions of your order, ensuring that your carbon footprint is offset via one of their reforestation, bore hole or fuel efficient stove projects, the full details of which can be found on their website here.
