What is Blue Friday?
Blue Friday is an opportunity for consumers to think more carefully about their impulsive shopping decisions which are encouraged during Black Friday Sales. Blue Friday aims to encourage consumers to choose brands which design and manufacture products that are friendly for the planet and support environmental projects.
How does Talia Collins support Blue Friday?
We strive to create sustainable products which don’t harm our planet. Everything in our process from design to shipping has the environment in mind. Right from the product conception, we only use regenerated ECONYL® yarn, which is made from plastic bottles and lost fishing nets found in our oceans. Our products are manufactured within Europe to ensure that our shipping distances and environmental pollution is kept to a minimal. We use recycled garment bags and paper in our packaging to ensure that we try to close the loop in our product lifecycle as much as possible.
There are still enormous industry developments which still need to happen in order for us to fully close the product lifecycle loop and make products 100% self-sufficient and 0% impact on the environment. But here at Talia Collins, we encourage customers to invest in quality and sustainability which strive to make consumerism less harmful to our environments.
What do we do to support Blue Friday?
Instead of offering discounts to encourage impulse purchases, we will be donating 10% of sales to Healthy Seas over this extended November weekend (24th-29th November 2021, inclusive). The initiative cleans the sea of plastic, which is then used to create yarn innovations such as ECONYL® which then transform into part of the Talia Collins collection.
